Come get F.U.E.L.-ed for Christ

VICTORIA – A recent call went out to invite students in middle and high school to the F.U.E.L. Youth Rally at the MidTown church of Christ here. The focus on Faith, Understanding, Excellence and Leadership aims to prepare the young for the future. The rally begins at 6:30 Friday night and continues from 8:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20-21.

Meant to inform, instruct and encourage young people, the lessons cover how to be “In the World But Not of the World: Questions for Young Christians in Our Time.” A faith in God built through a deep knowledge of the scriptures can strengthen young Christians for the challenges that will come to mature them.
Keynote speaker, Todd Clippard, preaches for the Burleson church of Christ in Hamilton, Ala. The Freed-Hardeman grad has made trips to Ghana and Liberia and preached in the United Kingdom. He has served congregations in Missouri, Arizona and Tennessee. The church website carries his blog.
Clippard also serves with House to House – Heart to Heart and has answered nearly 5000 Bible questions submitted to him as the resident Respondent. A regular speaker at national youth conferences, Clippard also preaches on Seeking the Lost International Radio and hosts a live “What Does the Bible Say?” television program. He and his wife, Rhonda, raised Shelby and Jeffrey, who both graduated from Freed-Hardeman and now work as schoolteachers in Tennessee.
MidTown will provide lunch on Saturday. For more information, go to, see the Midtown Church of Christ Youth page on Facebook or call the church at 361-573-0030.
