SAN ANTONIO – Buddy Adams has answered the call to serve as an elder at the San Pedro Ave. Church of Christ here. He joins the service of John Briggs, Wade Harris, Charles Johanson and David Landry in leading the congregation.
A charter member of San Antonio’s Shenandoah congregation, Adams is a graduate of Lee High School and St. Mary’s University. He and his wife, Joyce, worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., when first married. His federal assignments led the couple to Alexandria Va., Corpus Christi, Austin and San Antonio, where they worshipped at local congregations.
Now retired from both the Treasury Department after 30 years of service and as a private investigator, Adams served as a deacon with the Beacon Hill congregation and as an elder with the North Hills Church of Christ.
Buddy and Joyce have two grown children.
